Absolutely! Two-year-olds can already run, but their endurance on long routes is limited. A carrier is an excellent alternative to a stroller during holidays, forest walks, or in crowded places where the child feels safer close to the parent and can rest when their legs get tired.

Our carriers are designed to carry heavy loads. The key is a solid, stiffened waist belt that transfers most of the child's weight to your legs and pelvis, maximizing relief for the spine and shoulders. A properly tightened carrier makes the weight of a 2-year-old feel much lighter than carrying them in your arms.

For a 2-year-old, we definitely recommend back-carrying. The child is already tall enough that front-carrying would limit your visibility and put excessive strain on your spine. On your back, the toddler has a great view over your shoulder, and you maintain full freedom of movement.

We recommend all our models – both those made of 100% cotton and those with blends (linen, Tencel™). Fabrics with blends are characterized by exceptional support and durability, which is important for weights above 12-15 kg, though densely woven cotton also performs very well.

Both the Toddler and Prime models usually last until the child reaches clothing size 98 (around 3 years of age). This is the time when most children finally transition to independent walking.

Yes. The wide panel of the Toddler model provides support from knee to knee, which ensures the physiological "frog" position (wide-spread legs and rounded back). This is safe for the hip joints and spine even for older children.
