Is babywearing safe in winter?

How to dress a baby to wear in a sling in winter?

The first layer is a romper/panties, then a jumper or blouse, soft socks. The important thing is to remember to dress your baby in loose, not tight things, without buttons, zips or other parts that pinch. If you wear your baby for a long period of time, he or she may become restless if, for example, a tight romper bag restricts movement or one of the buttons on a cute dress pinches his or her neck.

Many parents wonder if jumpsuit is ok when babywearing. It is ok, as long as it is a soft, fleece or woollen overalls so that nothing restricts movement but is pleasantly warm. On the feet, it is best to wear comfortable shoes/thick socks and a hat. Ready to go!

In cold weather, especially in autumn or winter, it is best to throw on an extra fleece or softshsell cover after putting in the baby sling or baby carrier to further protect your little one from the cold. A babywearing cover does not take up much space, is easy to use and does not cost much.
